AllDrives
every cloud you own, in Finder.

Privacy policy

Effective 30 August 2026

The short version. The app has no account and no server of ours. Your files and cloud credentials never reach us — they cannot, because there is nowhere for them to go. The app makes exactly one request of its own: a check for a newer version, carrying no identifier. This website, separately, does use analytics; that is described below.

Two different things

This policy covers the AllDrives app and this website. They are not the same, and it would be misleading to describe them as one. The app collects nothing. The website uses ordinary web analytics.

The app

What stays on your Mac

All of it is readable only by your macOS account. The app shows you this same list and opens each file in Finder, so you can verify it rather than trust it.

What the app sends

One thing: a request asking what the current version of AllDrives is. It carries no identifier, no account, nothing about your drives and nothing about your files. Your Mac compares the answer locally. It is also how we can tell you that a beta has ended.

Being straight about the limit: any network request reveals your IP address and the fact that someone is running AllDrives. That is true of every application that can update itself, and it was true of this one before that check existed.

What the app does not do

Assistant access

If you connect an AI assistant, it runs on your machine and talks to AllDrives locally. Nothing is shared until you switch a specific drive on, reading is a separate permission from writing, and every request — allowed or refused — is recorded where you can read it. Whatever that assistant does with what it reads is governed by whoever provides it, not by us.

Encrypted drives

If you create one, the passphrase is stored on your Mac in the same encrypted configuration as your other credentials. We never receive it and cannot recover it. If you lose it, those files cannot be decrypted by anyone.

This website

Unlike the app, noobqa.com uses analytics to understand how pages perform:

These see visits to this website only. They have no access to the app, your drives, or your files, and there is no connection between a visit here and an installation of AllDrives.

Payments

AllDrives is free during the beta. When paid licensing begins, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not receive or store card details.

Your rights

Because the app holds nothing on our side, there is no account to export or delete. To remove everything the app stored on your Mac, delete AllDrives along with ~/Library/Application Support/AllDrives and its group container. Deleting a drive inside the app removes its indexed entries immediately.

Children

AllDrives is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the update will be noted on this page.

What this does not protect against. Anything already running as you on your Mac could read your Keychain too, and therefore your cloud credentials. No application that reconnects to your storage on its own can do better than that, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
